4th of July Parade

Tuesday, July 4th – 9:30 am @ Sun Tree Park

Show off your patriotism in the annual Fourth of July Parade. Decorate your bike, wagon, stroller, golf cart, dog, and/or yourself, and join us for a morning of fun with all of our neighbors. Prizes will be awarded in a number of “Best Decorated” categories!

We’ll kick off the morning at 9:30 am with patriotic giveaways, and line up to parade around the park at 9:45 am. Participate in the parade, or simply come watch. There will be cold treats and fun times for all.

We look forward to seeing all of our neighbors

Join your neighbors for a movie night at the park. Please plan to arrive at Sun Tree Park on Saturday, June 3 around 7:30pm to get a seat on the lawn and enjoy fresh popcorn.

The movie “Sing” will begin at dusk. Please bring your own blankets, chairs, drinks and bug spray.  (Note this is the rescheduled movie from Dads in the Hood event.)

Spring Time is Here at River Place

It seems spring has arrived early this year as the temperatures are warm and the sun has been shining bright.  No better time to get a jump on those homeowner maintenance items.

Just as we, the River Place Residential Community Association, have begun to spruce up the neighborhood now is the time we remind each owners to take a step back and look at their yards and homes to see what might need to be addressed.   This could include:

* Landscape items:  Fertilizing, simple weeding of yards and flower beds, adding mulch to beds, replacing those shrubs and flowers that did not survive the winter, pruning any trees and/or shrubs that are hanging too low or blocking sidewalks and signage

* General Home Maintenance Items:  checking mailboxes and homes for areas of mildew that might need a little cleaning and/or painting.

* Fences:  Fences are the responsibility of the homeowner and we have noticed several in need of repair.  In the sections with wooden fences, check for missing loose pickets, leaning pickets and of course an application of fresh stain to make them look bright and new.  For those with concrete fences check for loose mortar and caps, secure columns and pillars and boards free of mildew and residue.

Please reference the CCRs posted on the River Place website as to ensure your property is in compliance.

With each of you doing your part River Place will continue to be a community you are proud to call “home.”
